We’re delighted to welcome back Jazz on Murphy for another year of music, sunshine and community spirit in the heart of South Yarra.
Join us on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March as Murphy Street comes alive with live jazz, great food and a relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere. It’s the perfect excuse to gather your friends, bring the family (yes, pets too) and settle in for an afternoon of music in the sun.

- Saturday 28 March: 2pm – 7pm
- Sunday 29 March: 12 noon – 6pm
What to Expect
Across the weekend, Murphy Street will transform into an open-air stage filled with the sounds of live jazz (band line-up to be announced soon). Whether you stay for an hour or the whole afternoon, it’s designed to be easy, welcoming and wonderfully local.
You’ll be able to enjoy food from:
- Zita’s Focaccia
- Commonfolk Cafe
- Cucinetta Restaurant
Important Information
To allow for a safe and enjoyable event:
- Murphy Street between Station Street and Toorak Road will be closed from 8.15am Saturday 28 March until 10pm Sunday 29 March. Traffic management will be onsite to assist residents.
- There will be no on-street parking at the Toorak Road end of Murphy Street across the weekend.
- The event will have 24-hour on-site security.
- St John Ambulance will be present throughout.
We encourage visitors to plan ahead and consider public transport or nearby parking options. The Murphy Street carpark will remain open.
