Santa sits at the base of a bright, colourful Christmas tree installation on Toorak Road, waving to the camera. Two cheerful elves stand beside him, smiling and posing with raised hands. Summer greenery, parked cars and a festive TRSY street decoration can be seen in the background.

Christmas on Toorak Road

Christmas has arrived on Toorak Road, and our street is looking bright, bold and full of seasonal cheer. Our colourful decorations are out in force once again – vibrant Christmas wraps on our street furniture, playful trees along the footpaths, and pops of colour catching the summer light as people move through the street.

On Friday, Santa and his elves made their first appearance on the street, bringing smiles to families, shoppers and even a few surprised passers-by. They wandered from end to end, stopping for photos, handing out waves and spreading that unmistakable December joy. From outdoor seating spots to the forecourt at the Como Centre, they brought festive fun wherever they went – even the local tradies couldn’t resist a quick photo.

Our decorations will remain across the precinct throughout December, and Santa and his elves will be returning for more visits in the lead-up to Christmas. If you’re in the neighbourhood, keep an eye out – you may spot them on your morning coffee run, weekend shopping trip, or during a stroll to dinner.

Christmas on Toorak Road is vibrant, welcoming and very much underway. Come down, soak up the colour, enjoy the food, explore the shops, and be part of the festive spirit in South Yarra.
